Saturday, July 11th through Sunday, July 19th, 2015 the Discalced Nuns of the Carmel of St. Joseph held their 67th annual novena to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Each night included a rosary, benediction, and Mass offered by Fr. Fadio Auro.
On the Carmelite website, meditationsfromcarmel.com, you can listen to all nine of Fr. Auro’s homilies which focus on Our Lady and the Beatitudes. Below is the description and list:
Each evening during the Homily at Mass, Father Auro will help us to look through the lens of Mary’s life to see how she lived the Beatitudes as the first disciple of Christ her Son. When Jesus appeared on this earth, He brought to us the offer of His Love. In following her Son, with Him, she too desires only one thing for us, for our world today and that is Love. We hear of brother hating brother, wars and bloodshed. We hear of Christians and Jews being persecuted and even dying for their Faith. We hear of the loss of value for human life, and on and on — where there is no love and no peace. God is all love, the love that Jesus came to show us in His life and through His Mother, Mary. Through the example and intercession of Mary, may she show us how to increase love in our world today! She invites you to come and see!
